A TRIP TO THE MOON - is a 1902 French science fiction adventure ‘trick film’ written, directed and produced by Georges Melies. Inspired by Jules Verne’s 1865 novel From the earth to the Moon. The film follows a group of astronomers who travel to the Moon in a cannon-propelled capsule, explore the Moon's surface, escape from an underground group of Selenites (lunar inhabitants), and return to Earth with a captive Selenite. Film duration 15 minutes.

THE IMPOSSIBLE VOYAGE - Inspired by Jules Verne’s 1882 play Journey Through the Impossible and modeled in style and format on Méliès's highly successful 1902 film A Trip to the Moon. The film is a satire of scientific exploration in which a group of geographically minded tourists attempt a journey to the Sun using various methods of transportation. The film was a significant international success at the time of its release. Film duration 20 minutes.

Doors & bar open 11am. Coffee, tea, snacks & refreshments available. Tickets $15 and free for kids 13 and under. Movie starts at 12 noon. No need to book get your ticket at the door.
